Lip gloss?

anyone know how to tell if the lip gloss has gone bad or it has expired?Lip gloss?
Generally, a good lip gloss will last approx. 18-24 months. You shouldn't keep it after that but some ppl still do. Also, you should NEVER share with others. If you can't remember how old the gloss is, check for signs of old age. Is it goopy, does it spread as easily as it first did, is there a strange smell, does it irritate your lips in anyway? I always write with a sharpie on the tube the month and year of first use and then place scotch tape over it. This way, I am always reminded of when its time to buy another-- yaaay!! (This especially helps for mascara, never use mascara past its prime!!)Lip gloss?
If it smells weird or the texture has changed than you should throw it away. After months of use, bacterias start growing in the lip gloss so it's not good to use it when this happens.

if u see mold on it or look on the book
This is a question someone else asked. It might help.

Yes, all you have to do is open it and give it a sniff. If it smells bad then it is bad....

it usually is old once the lipgloss starts to seperate. but who doesnt use all their lip gloss up ya know? lol

hope this helps!
WOW, I don't think this would even happen to me because I live off of lip gloss. I do believe there is a 2 years limit on some makeup. Why not ask your beauty consultant at any makeup counter.

If you see bacteria or if the colour/smell has changed...it's time to get rid of it.

there should be an expiration date on it somewhere. however, if you can't find one...if it is smelly, or extra sticky I wouldn't use it.
