I have the vasaline and all the other stuff but this one article I read on it said to put in substitute sugar so if I accendintly lick my lips I dont taste vasaline.... but can I just use normal sugar?How to make your own lip gloss?

USing normal sugar would be rather grainy. Maybe powdered sugar? Try it and see.
I have to agree with the first answer, vaseline gives your lips the shine and there is really not a big taste to it, the kool-aid thing sounds pretty cool though.
Use vaseline, I, olive oil.
vaseline mixed with any color eyeshadow........... read it in cosmo beauty book.... i don't think sugar would be healthy for your lips.

If you're up to buying your makeup online, cherryculture.com has a lipstick/liner duo (lipstick on one end, liner on the opposite). They will run you about $3.00 +s/h. Try looking for ';Princessa'; if you end up going there.
I'm not sure if they still carry it, but a few years back, I used to get a Lipstick/Liner duo (similar to above) from Covergirl. However, I haven't seen it in awhile - - they did the same thing for eyeshadow/eyeliner.

I haven't worn any of maybelline's shinylicious but i tried tasting it coz i thought it was edible like the smackers but it tasted yucky and sour!
Why not go to the mall and try their tester? It's for free anyway=)

burts bees super shiny lip gloss either nectar nude (see throuhg) or sweet pink (light light pink) its nothing like lip smackers so it doesn have thiose tastes (i personally hate lip smackers cuz its so not healthy) and burts bees lip gloss smell good and they make my lips soft yet they are LIP GLOSS so it looks nice too! they cost around 9 dollars from a store called ambrosia in canada or if u get it at shoppers drug mart u can get it for 6 dollars. u shud really get it!

keep your lips moistorized by wearing lip balm / chapstick before you apply your lipgloss. thats what i do
