I have to agree with the first answer, vaseline gives your lips the shine and there is really not a big taste to it, the kool-aid thing sounds pretty cool though.

I want to attempt to make my own lip gloss. Preferably something with natural ingredients. If you have one, post it here. I will ignore all answers with links in them. I luv flavor in my lip gloss, and then POOF! There are no more good lip glosses with any good flavors, so i am starting my own lip gloss business and now i need a list of flavors that ppl might buy. Have you tried looking up a recipe online? Beeswax is in many homemade recipes, so try that. It makes it a little harder depending how much you put in. I am working on a recipe myself, and try it that with petroeum jelly, peppermint oil (or any kind you think is good) will work good. You might find shea butter and cocoa butter in different lip gloss recipes as well. Tupperware would be easiest. Once you find a recipe online, you should melt the ingredients together in a microwave oven. Then, let it silitify. Put it in the freezer because it is possible that it could spoil.How can I make my own lip gloss?

Vegetable shortening, honey, unsweetened drink mix (eg. Kool-Aid), hot water

5. I used ';Pop Rocks'; in one batch (melted) and wow! A big flavor burst! I'd say better than brands that are for sale! I also used some yummy teas such as strawberry, chamomile, and ';sleepy time';! They were wonderful!

6. Use some glitter for cake decorating to add glitter to your lip gloss.

I think my Mom's rule was that I could wear make up like that (light and no mascara or eye liner) when I turned 14. I'm pretty sure that she bent the rules and let me at 13. I think 12 might be a little too young for daily make up, but once in a while for fun I think it's fine.

We just get the gift set and we all 3 share it. I wear it at night and it makes my lips really soft too.

Woollite Oxy Clean carpet cleaner. I know that sounds werid, but it works. It's even removed blood from our cream color carpet, and vasaline from out couch. My 2 year old nephew smeared vasaline all over our couch for all those dirty minds out there. It's safe to use on anything.
Try Dawn soap ... I know this is kind of odd but depending on the stain some times dawn can get oily stains out of items some lip glosses are oil base.

How can I make homemade lip balm or lip gloss ?
I want to make a lip gloss or lip balm, but I dont know how :S ( obviously )
So uhm, how can I?How can I make homemade lip balm or lip gloss ?
Containers
Small glass pots are suitable for your lip balm. If you have any old lip balm containers you can use these but they must be sterilised first. To do this wash them thoroughly with soap and water then rinse out with rubbing alcohol. Rinse with clear water then dry completely before use.
Colouring the Lip Balm
The lip balm does not need to be coloured but if you would like to colour it a you can use few slivers of lipstick shaved from a new lipstick. It is necessary to use new lipstick as lipstick that has been used could be contaminated with bacteria.
Melting the Base Material
The base material, whether it is vaseline, petroleum jelly or beeswax, needs to be melted before you can add the flavouring or colouring. You will need about two teaspoons for each small pot. There are a variety of ways to do this but whichever you choose only just melt the material. It does not need to be heated more than that. You can use a double saucepan to gently melt the material with steam or heat it in the microwave. If you use a microwave be careful not to overheat it. Place it in a small container then heat for only 30 seconds. Check to see if it is melted then heat again for 30 seconds if it is not. Continue heating for 30 seconds at a time until melting occurs. I find the easiest way is to place the material in a plastic bag, tie the ends, and then float in some hot water. Once the material has melted snip off a corner and pour it out.
Flavourings
Once you have melted the base material the following flavourings can be added. Add only a small amount until the taste is satisfactory. Essential oils must be handled carefully so make sure you read the safety instructions that come with your oil before you start. Citrus essential oils (e.g. orange, lemon etc) should not be used as they can make you skin more photosensitive.
Almond oil, vanilla oil, cocoa powder, tea tree oil, camphor, cinnamon, ginger, peppermint oil.
Vitamin E

they give an illusion to having plumper lips. They also have products out there that do really plump your lips up.. but I wouldn't recommend them to anyone.. they end up burning your lips and the feeling can last for hours, even if you wash it off, its by no means worth it!

2. Take some kind of red/pink/whatever you want color of eyeshadow or blush, and mix it in with the Vaseline on your hand
3. When thoroughly mixed in, apply to your lips!
When you're done, just wipe whatever is left off your hand.

Use a small bowl to mix 1 tbsp of the solid vegetable shortening and 1 tsp of honey. In a separate bowl, mix the drink mix and 1/4 tsp of hot water until it is dissolved. Stir in as much of the drink mix as possible. The actual amount will depend on the temperature of water. The more you can dissolve, the stronger the flavour will be.
You can choose the color and flavor of you lip gloss by the type of drink mix you use.
Add one drop of the water mixture to the shortening/honey base. Stir well. Repeat until you get the color/flavor combination you want. Pour into a clean container or old lip gloss pot.
Store in the refrigerator. Keeps for 3 days, but it tastes so good that you will use it up very fast!
Lip gloss is a mixture of sulfur, charcoal, and potassium nitrate. Use it and share it with your friends. Especially any friends you have that smoke.

I'm in a pink lip gloss rut and I want a change. My skin tone is pale as hell and my lips are a natural grapefruit pink, so I always buy pink lip gloss or lipstick to match that. prepare your lips with a generous slick of lip balm in advance. nobody likes cracked and frayed lips, and in cold winter weather its important to take more care than usual. make sure that the lip balm has sunk a little before you go on to the next step, otherwise your lip liner won鈥檛 work.
get a natural lip liner, and carefully draw around the very rim of your lips. if you get a wobbly line, don鈥檛 panic, just carefully remove it and start again. when you have a firm line fill in the rest of your lips with the same colour.
then you can apply your lipgloss. again, keep the colour natural. forget lipstick that鈥檚 too dark or too light. one thing you鈥檝e gotta remember though, gloss looks better but doesn鈥檛 have the staying power of lippy. make sure you keep it in your purse and re-apply during the day.

that resolve stuff works really well, the stuff that has two compartments with two different detergents... other than that, go to like a dry-cleaning place and ask what they would do.

Well, make due with what you've got.
Buy some pink fabric dye and tye dye 'em.
You can even include other colors, like black and hot pink, now thats sexy!
First try oil-free make up remover
If that doesn't work, try rubbing alcohol.
If that doesn't work, sprinkle the stains w/ cornstarch. The gloss likely has oil in it and the cornstarch will absorb the gloss.
Then rewash on cold.
Have them dry-cleaned
Screw what eles everyone says use dish soap hang wash and air dry in the sun
I am sorry to say but the pants are ruined lip gloss stains when washed. Good Luck tho

definitely use a natural citrus ';degreaser';, you can spray it directly on the gloss stain and let soak then scrub it out. Then wash in washer.
dont know what color they are now..but why dont you just tie-dye them and nobody will be wiser..

this has happend to me what i did was i took some really hot water and put it in a large bowl. then i took a little bit of soap and let them soak
Wash them on their own with a lot of washing powder, say half a small box. There are stain removal soaps such as Stain Devil to remove grease if everything fails.
get a stain remover and like rub it in.
Use Simple Green straight/concentrate. It will work wonderfully for anything with oils/grease...lipstick, crayons, gloss, vegetable oil, etc. Pour it directly on the stains and let it set over night. Wash normally the next day. IT WILL WORK Good Luck!!
Instead of trying to take the lipgloss off, try decorating your pants to make it look like they were made like that.
1) Splatter some paint on them, and sew on some patches.
2) Take them into school and have all of your friends sign them in sharpie
3) Cut som holes in the jeans
4) Combine all three ideas, you will have the coolest jeans in the school
